Inside Line Promotions – CONNERSVILLE, Ind. (June 20, 2018) – The SawBlade.com sponsored Eat’n Dollars/Alky Edition tractor owned by David and Janet Esteb scored its first win of the season last Saturday at an Indiana State National Tractor Pulling Association competition.
The win came despite the fact the team normally competes in the Light Superstock Class and had to battle in the Heavy Superstock Class. According to the Hoosier State Tractor Puller’s Association results, David Esteb took first with a pull of 313.770 feet.
“This pull wasn’t on our schedule, but it was 45 minutes away. We went to get more data and really wasn’t expecting it to run that good because we have been having problems. You can’t practice just any place with these tractors. You have to have a sled to hook to. We made a good pass and got some data to change some things to.”
At tractor pulls the driver who pulls the weighted sled – which gets heavier the farther the driver travels down the track – the farthest wins. A pulling track is typically 300-to-320 feet long.
The SawBlade.com sponsored Eat’n Dollars/Alky Edition competes in the light superstock tractor class and is limited to 505ci engines and up to four turbo chargers with a maximum of three stages.
Despite stepping into a heavier class, Eat’n Dollars/Alky Edition picked up the win and bested the previous season high of a runner-up finish posted earlier this month.
The SawBlade.com backed Esteb team will compete in the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League in 2018. That season will begin July 13 at the Jersey County Fair in Jerseyville, Ill., followed by the Marshall/Putnam County Fair in Henry, Ill., on July 14.
