Inside Line Promotions – FRANKLIN, Ind. (Aug. 29, 2018) – After having a couple of weeks off, David and Janet Esteb and their SawBlade.com backed Eat’n Dollars/Alky Edition pulling tractor team are ready to get back to action this Saturday with the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling Champions Tour at the Robertson County Fairgrounds in Springfield, Tenn.
The Estebs have been plagued with engine problems throughout the 2018 pulling season. However, the team has made adjustments and is ready to see progress during the weekend pull.
“We have pretty much found our gremlins we have been chasing all year. Right now we are just fine-tuning with the fuel system on the old motor setup. We are disappointed because we were hoping to have a new head and motor setup for 2018, but because of parts being delayed that did not happen. We will finish this season with the old motor setup and our plan is to have a new motor for the 2019 pulling season that starts in June.”
Despite the engine woes, the Estebs have recorded several top-three finishes in competition around the region in 2018.
The Estebs, who currently rank eighth in the Light Super Stock Tractor championship standings with the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions Tour, are hoping the new fueling system on Eat’n Dollars/Alky Edition tractor will result in better pulls this weekend and beyond.
Following the event in Springfield, Tenn., the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling Champions Tour heads to Chillhowee Park for the Tennessee Valley Fair in Knoxville, Tenn., Sept. 7-8. The final event on the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling Champions Tour for the Light Weight Super Stock Class will be Sept. 14 at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.
